Having adopted four of the most wonderful dogs that were abandoned and ended up in the dog pound with only a few days to live unless they found a rescue space we always have something on the go to raise much needed funds for the rescues we support!
At the moment we are fundraising for Labrador Retriever Rescue Southern England. This is a wonderful charity run totally by volunteer, unpaid workers. That means that every penny donated goes to help another dog and is not eaten up in wages and administration costs like many other charities.
The pictures above tell you better than any words could why I’d like to raise some much needed funds for this charity.
In the photo is 8 year old Hope. Louise from LRRSE wrote:
"Today I collected this lovely soul from the pound. She has clearly been used for breeding all of her life, probably thrown out when she was no longer of use. Her skin is red raw and most of her fur gone and she is very skinny.
She has had one treatment for her skin and has enjoyed a nice soothing bath. She will see the vet on Monday. Even being in this appalling state she was so happy to meet everyone and her tail didn’t stop wagging."
By the end of that day Hope had received veterinary treatment and was snuggled up in a foster home. Hope is making a good recovery and has totally won the hearts of her fosterers Gill & Ken who are adopting her.
Every penny raised goes directly to help dogs like Hope - there is a link below if you would like to join with me, support the challenge and help LRRSE to help more dogs 🙏❤
Thank you for caring :-)
