Our next course for puppies 10 - 18 weeks old starts on:
Sunday 11th March - 9.30am at Grafham Water PE28 0BU
Don't worry if the Puppy 1 course start date doesn't quite fit with your puppies vaccination schedule. The course is deliberately modular to a large extent to allow pups to join part way through the course, this is often the case with vaccination status to take into account. The delicate socialisation period between 10 and 16 weeks is so important I would urge you to start attending as soon as your pup has been cleared to go outside by the vet. (2nd distemper/parvo jab + 7 days)
Our March course is enrolling now, if your pup will be between 10 and 18 weeks old on March 4th then this is the one for you, please scroll down for all the details and if you would like to join please fill in the enrolment form making sure to click the Blue send button then complete the payment step. Please note: so sorry but as the course is so popular we are unable to hold places on the course without payment in full so if you just send the form this will not reserve a place.
Puppy training is really fun, and make no mistake - puppies are super-malleable and learn very quickly. The clock is ticking … the time, thought, and energy you put into your puppy now will form lifelong habits and have lasting effects on your adult dog’s behaviour.
Raising and training a confident, friendly, and well-mannered lifelong companion takes more than just a commitment to attending a few puppy classes.
Puppies develop into dogs very quickly. Your young pup will go through many stages in his / her first year and we’re here to guide you through all of them with the goal of producing a happy, friendly, responsive and well-adjusted companion dog you can take anywhere.
Our puppy courses are specifically designed to quickly start your pup off on the right paw and to make sure early training and socialisation sticks through your dog's adolescence by becoming effortlessly integrated into your ongoing daily routine.
We will take you through all the essential puppy training exercises and your pup can enjoy socialising and learning in a natural environment. All our puppy training takes places outdoors in the real world in a relaxed park like setting. We also have a dedicated and fully enclosed training field well away from any roads for safe recall practice. With us, training, socialisation, physical exercise and mental stimulation are brought together to help your pup grow into a beautiful and well balanced adult family dog.
We take part in many dog sports with our own dogs so if you happen to also aspire to train advanced behaviours, compete one day or have the ultimate outdoor companion - The Adventure Dog! we are with you all the way!
The courses are accompanied by lots of class handouts and other great content delivered via email throughout the course with comprehensive step-by-step guides for simple exercises to guide your daily practice. You’ll be simply amazed at what you can achieve with your pup!
Our dog training methods are always both dog and family friendly and we really look forward to meeting you soon.
For puppies up to 18 weeks old.
Puppy Training 1 is so much fun!
Classes focus on puppy biting, socialisation with other dogs and people (especially children men and strangers), calming and handling, attention, basic obedience skills (come, sit, down, stand, stay, heel and walk on leash).
Our expert puppy instructor will teach you how to use food in training without it becoming a bribe so that your puppy responds reliably whether you have food or not.
Age: less than 18 weeks of age at the start date of class.
First two rounds plus at least 5-7 days prior to the first attendance.
This course is five consecutive sessions unless a break is mentioned. Each session is approximately 45 minutes per week plus puppy playtime at the end. Each session will meet on the same day and time each week.

Next Puppy 1 course starts on:
Sunday March 11th
09:30 - 10.15am
To keep your puppy socialised, friendly and responsive right through adolescence.
Early puppy training is as easy as it is enjoyable. Much more challenging though, is to ensure that your puppy maintains bite inhibition, remains socialised and friendly to other dogs and people, and continues to pay heed to your instructions while working through adolescence.
Puppy 2 will help you teach your adolescent pup to be calm, attentive and responsive and to respond quickly, willingly and happily, especially when distracted, off-leash, and at a distance.
Pre-requisite: Puppies must have graduated from the Puppy I class here or equivalent elsewhere. Ideally Puppy 2 will be taken within at least 4 months of completing your Puppy I class.
Age: 19 weeks to 1 year old at the start of class.
Up-to-date full vaccination is required.
Grafham Water, PE28 0BU
Puppy 2 is now enrolling - course starts on Sunday 11th March at 10.45 am. To book please see the Puppy 2 section below.
Playtimes build socialisation skills and are a great way for your puppy to learn bite inhibition and become comfortable with different kinds of dogs, all while doing what dogs love to do: play, pounce, run, and roll in the grass!
It’s also great fun for their humans!
We incorporate free play times in all our puppy courses once the puppies have got to know each other and so have we so we can match size, age, temperament and play style.
There are no extra charges for puppy play sessions, they are included in our puppy courses free of charge :-)
