Hi and Welcome!

Handsome Joe with the Odd Job Girl

GWCA is run by Nicki and was born from her love of the outdoors, her dog and all our furry friends.  Keenly interested in all aspects of canine care, fitness, behaviour and psychology, Nicki is qualified in Canine & Animal Learning Theory, subscribes to the Association of Professional Dog Trainers, has a Professional Dog Walker Certificate, Dog First Aid Certificate and Dog Agility Coaching Diploma.  She is passionate in spreading the word about positive reinforcement training and behaviour modification and in helping new puppy owners understand their new canine best friend.

Nicki has a lovely rescued lurcher boy called Joe.  The picture opposite is Joe at the dog rescue when he came in during December 2011 and the video below shows him winning his first agility competition with Nicki in May 2014.

Together they travel up and down the country competing in Agility shows.  Joe competes at KC Grade 4 and UKA Novice level.

As well as agility, Joe specialises in stealing socks and washing up bowls!  He is also actively involved in GWCA and has a passion for helping dogs and owners enjoy a great relationship together so not so many dogs have to go through what he did when he was very young.
